Seasonal variation in soil CO2 emission and leaf gas exchange of well‐managed commercial Citrus sinensis (L.) orchards

چکیده

Abstract Purpose To investigate whether soil clay content, cultivar and seasonal variation have any effect on CO 2 emission rates leaf assimilation in a drip-irrigated commercial Citrus sinensis orchard. Methods The study was carried out the field as randomised complete block design × factorial consisting of two types citrus cultivars orchards with 2-week interval measurements gas exchanges for year. Results Soil content did not influence plant irrigated citrus. However, significantly influenced both processes. were highest summer more than double observed winter while autumn four times higher season rates. Mean strongly by mean minimum temperatures only showed relatively weak relationship maximum temperatures. Conclusions drip suggesting non-significant soils subjected to similar management practices. rate peaks peak summer. A snapshot analysis sequestration suggests that are net sinks summer, season.

Isolation and identification of new beneficial bacterial strains from rhizosphere of Citrus sinensis orchards

The rhizosphere is the area around the root of a plant occupied by a unique population of usefulbacteria known as plant growth promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR). In this study, the isolation andidentification of rhizobacteria from orange (Citrus sinensis) orchards using 16S rRNA gene, as well asbiological and biochemical assays is reported. Analysis of 16S rRNA gene was confirmed bybiological and ...

Seasonal variation on radon emission from soil and water

Radon is being measured continuously in spring water and soil-gas at Badshahi Thaul Campus, Tehri Garhwal in Himalayan region by using radon Emanometer since December 2002. An effort was made to correlate the variance of radon concentrations in spring water and soil-gas with meteorological parameters at the same location. The main meteorological parameters that affect the radon emanation from h...

Growth form and seasonal variation in leaf gas exchange of Colophospermum mopane savanna trees in northwest Botswana.

We investigated differences in physiological and morphological traits between the tall and short forms of mopane (Colophospermum mopane (Kirk ex Benth.) Kirk ex J. Léonard) trees growing near Maun, Botswana on a Kalahari sandveld overlying an impermeable calcrete duricrust. We sought to determine if differences between the two physiognomic types are attributable to the way they exploit availabl...

Inotropic effect of Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck leaf extracts on the guinea pig atrium.

The objective of the present investigation was to determine the contractile effect of crude and acetone leaf extracts of Citrus sinensis (L.) Osb. on mammalian myocardium. Crude leaf extracts have been used in folk medicine to treat neurological disorders. Some flavonoids isolated from this plant presented a positive inotropic effect on myocardium. This motivated us to test the extracts on the ...

Mechanical Harvesting Has Little Effect on Water Status and Leaf Gas Exchange in Citrus Trees

Mechanical harvesting of citrus trees can cause physical injuries, such as shedding of leaves, exposing roots, and scuffi ng bark. Although mechanical harvesting usually has not reduced yield, physiological consequences to the tree from these visible injuries have not been investigated. We hypothesized that physical injuries to tree canopies and root systems from a properly operated trunk shake...
